People spend too much time making being "blessed" about what it is not. Being blessed cannot be measured by how nice you dress, or how much money you may have in the bank. Matthew 5:45 reminds us that God rains on the just and the unjust. There are many people who are financially prosperous but they are not blessed. They are rich in terms of money but spiritually poor. We are all in need of something, if it isn't one thing it's another. Remember, our Heavenly Father knows what we have need of (Matt 6:32). The purposeful aim of our attention to seek after the Kingdom of God and His righteousness will foster knowledge and understanding in our hearts that God will take care of everything we need as we put Him first..
